Artist + Educator
My art and teaching practices are inextricably intertwined; each practice feeds the other in a continual loop of influence. As artist and as teacher, I take refuge in my work, recognizing that art is a respite from the chaos of the world. That being said, it is also a channel through which we can articulate the chaos of the world. As a teacher, I empower my students to experience this respite and also to communicate the chaos. To revel in the wonder of it all, and to question it, as well.
I received my MA in Art and Art Education from NYU in 2015 and my BA in Studio Art from Vassar College in 2011, graduating Phi Beta Kappa with General and Departmental Honors. I completed a certificate in project-based-learning from the University of Pennsylvania in 2020. I have taught at Greenwich Academy, Millbrook School, and in special education contexts in public schools. I am currently a head teacher at a Montessori school in Schenectady, NY. In 2025 alone, I have exhibited my work in various spaces throughout the Capital Region and received admission to both a residency at Arts Letters & Numbers and an immersive critical forum program through Collar Works and Spring Street Gallery.
